Suno and 67 MUSIC both turn a few words into a finished song with vocals, but they are built for different ways of working. Suno introduced its v6 models on 9 September 2026, and on 1 October 67 MUSIC updated its own comparison page to cover them. This is a fresh side by side, taken from both companies' public pages and terms as they read on 1 October 2026.

Disclosure: SheAI News is published by the studio that builds 67 MUSIC, and we did not ask Suno for comment. A comparison by an interested party is comparative advertising, so we hold it to the conditions of EU Directive 2006/114/EC: features that can be checked, prices with their dates, nothing that runs down the other product, and no claim about which one sounds better.

Two ways to start a song

Suno starts from a prompt: a description of the song or your own lyrics, and on paid plans a recording of your own voice. With v6, Suno says, a song can also start from audio, an image or a video, and a section or a single lyric can be changed in plain language. There are three models: v6 and v6-wild for Pro and Premier subscribers, and v6-mini for everyone.

67 MUSIC starts from a conversation with Shela. Asked for an artist, Shela invents one, with a name, a look, a voice and written sound rules, and paints a portrait; every later song under that name follows the same rules. It writes the lyrics first and renders nothing until the user approves them, then turns them into a composition plan with sections, styles and the place of the chorus. A song without an artist works too.

What you get out

On 67 MUSIC, each song is rendered as a 44.1 kHz WAV with a title and cover art and mastered automatically in two passes to -14 LUFS, with true peaks under -1.5 dBTP, the about page states. Four separated stems and a MIDI file are available for any song, and WAV and MP3 downloads have no cap on any plan, according to the studio's comparison page.

On Suno, WAV files are for Pro and Premier subscribers and come from the website; downloads from the mobile app are MP3. Since 3 September downloads are counted: 20 a month on Pro and 60 on Premier, with more for sale, and no limit for Premier subscribers who export from Suno Studio. The free plan has no monthly downloads; free accounts opened before 3 September keep up to 7 lifetime trial downloads, for personal use only. Listening and sharing inside Suno stay unlimited on every plan.

Stems work differently. Suno's Auto Split gives up to 12 stems on Pro and Premier, and Advanced Split, on Premier only, picks from nearly 100 instruments. Suno says it regenerates each stem with its model instead of cutting it out of the mix. 67 MUSIC splits the finished song into four stems: drums, bass, vocals and everything else.

Editing and video

Suno Studio 2.0, released on 13 August, is a browser workstation with MIDI, a wavetable synth, effects, plugins you design by chat, automation and multitrack export at 32 bit and 48 kHz. It comes with Premier at USD 24 a month. Pro gets simpler editing: crop and fade, and replacing or adding a section.

67 MUSIC puts its browser studio, Wave, on every plan, the free one included: stems on separate tracks, EQ, compressor, sidechain, saturation, delay and reverb on each track, a mixer with a master limiter, a piano roll, a 16 step sequencer, 150 loops, chord detection and a mastering assistant. Every plan also gets a short video editor that knows the song's beats and sung words, with 58 effects, 42 transitions, karaoke captions and export in 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9.

Suno's list of products, read on 1 October, has no video editor; its blog offers a guide to making short videos for songs.

Rights: what you may do with the songs

Suno's terms, in effect since 3 September 2026, spell this out. On Pro and Premier, Suno assigns to the subscriber its rights in the songs they generate, but it makes no promise that copyright exists in AI output. Commercial use is allowed only for songs downloaded through Suno within the plan's allowance, and for those downloads the right stays after a subscription ends. Free plan songs are for personal, non commercial use, and remixes of other users' songs made with Suno's remix feature are for personal, non commercial use only, on every plan. Suno may add a watermark or fingerprint to a song, and the terms forbid removing it to hide where the song came from.

67 MUSIC states its rule on its about page: songs made on a paid plan are yours to use, including commercially, online, in advertising, on social media and in podcasts; film, television and game studios are the exception for now and are asked to get in touch. Every upload and every reference is screened for copyright, prompts naming real artists are rewritten into descriptions of style, and the page warns that a similar song can be made for someone else. The general Shela terms, last updated on 9 August 2026, say that what the agent makes is yours to use and that you should check third party rights before commercial use; they do not yet repeat the paid plan wording of the about page.

On training data, the 67 MUSIC about page says its music model was trained on licensed music only; SheAI News could not verify this independently. Suno says its v6 models were developed with Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe, and that songs made with this industry partner model will be eligible for distribution through Believe and its TuneCore platform.

Where Suno is ahead

  • Your own voice and sound. Voices sings in a recording of your own voice, and custom models learn from your own tracks, on Pro and Premier. 67 MUSIC has neither.
  • More stems and a deeper studio. Up to 12 stems, nearly 100 instruments on Premier, and Studio 2.0 with MIDI, a synth, plugins, automation and 32 bit, 48 kHz export.
  • Apps and community. Apps for iPhone and Android and a large public feed. 67 MUSIC runs in the browser, phones included, and its chart listed three public artists on 1 October.
  • Lower entry price. USD 8 a month for Pro, against USD 35 for Shela Pro, which also covers the rest of Shela.
  • Industry deals and scale. Partnerships with Warner Music Group, BMG and Believe, and more than USD 400 million raised in June 2026 at a USD 5.4 billion valuation.

Where 67 MUSIC is different

  • One conversation from artist to song, with a persona that keeps its portrait and sound rules, and lyrics approved before anything is rendered.
  • Automatic mastering to a stated loudness target and a measured profile of tempo, key and loudness for every song.
  • Wave and Video on every plan, the free plan included.
  • No download cap on any plan, the comparison page states.
  • 432 Hz playback, on by default, one tap back to 440 Hz; the about page itself says this is not a medical claim.
  • One subscription for all of Shela, not only music.

What this comparison cannot tell you

Which one sounds better. The 67 MUSIC comparison page says the studio does not claim its songs sound better and is preparing a blind listening test with outside listeners; until such a test is published, SheAI News makes no such claim either. Suno says v6 is its best model yet and that v6-mini delivers better, faster results than any free model on any music platform; we could not test that.

Every claim above comes from the companies' own public pages, terms, blogs and help articles, read on 1 October 2026 and listed below.
